Interdiction of the Cairo

As promised (I think I promised, but now I can’t remember), the first of many short stories in the Humanity’s Leap universe will be posted. Next week, I’ll post the one where Sergeant Dixon (not yet promoted to E6), while serving aboard the UHS Valkyrie, leads a fireteam aboard the Cairo, a Continental class freighter. The Valkyrie catches up to the Cairo near Jupiter and interdicts the transport vessel. Things go wrong during the stop, and Dixon and his team (with a younger version of Duffy) get into a firefight.

All of this happens as Dixon has to deal with a personal crisis at home. Just one of many in the series where I try to provide some backstory to the characters of theHumanity’s Leap series. I’ll include some AI images for the story, but its not meant to be studio ready.
