The Warriors of 18 Scorpii?

In Book 2 (spoiler alert), CAIPARR integrates an artifact into memory that details how Species One removed Spartan soldiers for their project in the 18 Scorpii system, 46.1 light years from Sol. As I begin to write book 3 (did I mention that I started?) part of the plot involves how this culture of humans has evolved over the many centuries from when they had been taken from Earth, back during the Peloponnesian War.

Part of the challenge in writing this is to imagine how the Spartan culture - one of the most war driven cultures of ancient Greece - could have evolved during the course of the many centuries since the warriors of Sparta were removed from Earth.

On the left is a quick render of how the Spartan armor of today would look, though I reserve the right to change that!
